Employers who hire temporary foreign workers in BC are required by law to register with the provincial government.
As part of your application for permanent residence you will be required to undergo medical examination. You can only go to panel physician authorized by IRCC for your medical exam results to be acceptable. Find the list of all panel physicians in your country.
PERMANENT RESIDENCY STUDY WORK
The TEF is the only accepted French-language test. TEF results are acceptable if the test was taken before March 2020. After March 2020, the TEF Canada test is required.

The IELTS provides one of the English language tests that is approved by the Government of Canada to claim points for English language ability. The General Training test option is for permanent residency and work permit applications, while the Academic test option is for study permits.
The CELIPIP provides one of the English language tests that is approved by the Government of Canada to claim points for English language ability. The CELPIP-General Test is accepted, while the CELPIP General-LS Test is not.

If you are 18 years or older you need to submit police certificate as part of your PR application from all countries where you have lived for 6 months or longer. An ECA report is used to verify that education credentials completed oversees are valid and equal to Canadian credentials. ECA is needed to meet education requirements under most existing programs for obtaining permanent residency and must be obtained through a designated organization.

Job Bank is a database operated by the Government of Canada that can help match people with employers looking for workers with their skill sets. Upon landing in Canada, the user can continue using Job Bank to find a job. Start your job search by creating a “Job Match” account.
Find Designated Learning Institutions (DLI), including colleges and universities, approved by the Canadian government website. Search by province and view whether the school offers programs that will allow a post-graduate work permit (PGWP).

If your application for permanent residence to Canada has been approved and you will be immigrating to Canada, you will have to plan out your travels to Canada. CANN is a community network that can help you with your travel to Canada. This resource provides many services from helping with landing procedures to assistance with education for adults and children. CANN is located in the Vancouver International Airport (YVR).

ISSofBC provides free immigrant services, including settlement support, employment programs, English classes and more. If you are located in BC and is new to Canada and need help in finding jobs or volunteer work, ISSofBC provides many workshops and job fairs.
